#1672 - NYE 2012

To be honest, I'm very sleepy right now. But since I ate some BBQ chicken, beef and lamb from my mom's workplace, I'm bloated. Talk about guilty pleasure.

2012 to me has been ups and downs. I am officially an undergraduate (a 'freshee') this year. So far my academics improved from 1st sem to 2nd sem. Hopefully my 3rd sem will improve as well.

Then it was the Japan Culture Week. It was my first and prolly last helped volunteering.

June was the Borneo Debating Cup in KK. It was an extreme culture shocked but nevertheless I learn a lot of new things.

Come November was another debate, a last minute one. We won due to the team effort exerted. I honestly don't know how to contribute to this club, well, more like I don't wanna anymore.

December was EA Con. I always heard cosplaying stories from Nadiah and imagine seeing my fav character being cosplayed! So this is how it feels like if I am in an anime convention, huh? I wanna go to at least 1 anime con overseas sometime.

Of course, in between was school and sometimes when being overwhelmed by it, I broke down mentally. Thanks to my friends who are always there to help and guide me, even just by listening too does help. I'm sure they know who they are :)

I also think this is also the year where I learn about makeup techniques and how you apply it. I set up a blog specifically for that but I think updates will be slow? And due to my hoarding nature, I have a lot of unused makeup BUT I'll be using them in 2013. So I guess this is one accomplishment? Haha.

Hopefully 2013 is another year blessed with good fortune. Now that I think about it, I haven't written a resolution for 2013 yet...

#1671 - My stuffs arrived!

I can't believe my CDs arrived so fast. It was only shipped on the 25th and I got them today xD

It's my Utada Hikaru DVD single and MatsuYu BEST album :)

I wanna continue support Hikki and Yuya since both of them, IMO, are great singers!

#1670 - Money fly~

Went to bandar today to pick up my sister's new phone. Left house at around 9, reached Kiulap at 10:30-ish. My god. SO MANY CARS! I was lucky that I found a parking spot.

Claimed phone. Went to Mall to meet up Ainal-sempai for her CDs. I borrowed few DVDs from her too. xD Then shopped around.

Oh ya. I had in mind to buy a makeup base after watching YT videos and how base is good to hold your makeup. And well, TFS is selling this base for 50% off! At first, I contemplated. So went to HH, Missha, Paloma, TBS just to check the prices of the makeup base. In the end, got TFS one since it's cheaper xD

Then! Went to this stall in front of Pizza Hut that sell contact lens. Bought the green one although I almost wanted a Hello Kitty one. lol. $12 for a pair leh.. Too bad cannot mix the power coz my other side is actually -2.50. haha.

Right before heading back to KB, entered Boba Tea. Tried out 'boba milk tea' with aloe vera jelly for $2.50. I used 'OhMyCard' and it's 10%. Thanks to my sister who gave me the ownership of OMC. hehe.

Me in green. Peace!

#1669 - Benzoyl Peroxide

I have to say that, no matter how good a product is, surely there will be side effects, good or bad.

I trust Benzoyl Peroxide (BP) in treating acne. Well, that was when it was a 2.5% concentration.

And it has been MONTHS since the pharmacy has stock of the 2.5% BP, they gave a me a 10% BP.

I assume higher concentration means it may work more effective than the 2.5%.

And I was mistaken!

Instead, now I got like, 5 ugly pimples! And they're not post-PMS acnes either. I know coz I observed my face. It has to be the allergy reaction due to sudden extreme high concentration.

And knowing that my face can't take a 10% BP, I think it's still safe to revert back to 2.5% and use it religiously. Too bad I didn't have anymore of 2.5% in stock =_=

I guess for now I'll just discontinue the 10% BP.

Hello fucking ugly acnes and scars and blemishes.

#1668 - Hospital trip

I went to the hospital again in the afternoon. The wait was long (about 30 - 40 mins) but the checkup is less than 5 mins!

I'm glad this doctor gave me antibiotics! I hope the swollen tonsils won't be that bad tomorrow.

#1667 - Happy Holidays!

I was struck down with sore throat 3 days ago. Well, at first I was a lil' stubborn, saying "drink this liang cha can already" since it helps eliminate the 'heat' from my body.

Who knew it turned up worst? Now, it hurts every time I swallow my saliva. Went to the hospital to get my meds and I'm not so convince with the med the doctor prescribed to me: cough syrup. Well, there's little redness at the tonsils (according to the doctor) but I was actually expecting antibiotics. Hopefully my throat will be better tomorrow or the day after that.

Yesterday, met up with YB, Denise and Tiffany. We went to 11Sports Cafe since YB requested it. After that, went to CBTL. I think it's somewhat a norm to go to CBTL after a meal or something. Haha. Too bad YB didn't bring his graduation bear that I wanted to look at. ;(

Lovin' my Hot Vanilla with X'mas feel
To everyone out there, enjoy the holidays and the upcoming new year! (While I'm trying to battle my sickness. LOL)

#1666 - Results day!

Apparently, this sem's result was out at around 5PM-ish. No matter coz I was on my way back from Miri.

And of course, the 1st thing I did when I came back home was to check my results. After 1 and a half hour of using IE, MF and Safari, I installed Chrome and it worked way faster (and more secure?) for checking results.

When I finally logged into the exams result tab, the 1st thing I saw was a '3.7' and '3.56'. Then scrolled down to see the grades without knowing the subjects, I saw 'A+'. Everything happened in a flash that I was speechless for a while.

MY GPA INCREASED!

Prior today, Mayyer taught me how to calculate GPA and I predicted a 3.5. Still an increment compared to my last sem's. But knowing that I got a 3.7 for this sem made me go "Unbelievable!"

Another shocking thing is my MIB grade: I got A+! I think I'm lucky coz my lecturer doesn't seemed strict at all xD Coz I predicted a B only, with my Malay sometimes sounded weird. Haha. Syukuran.

But I think LE kinda spoiled the grades, although I predict a B or a C, knowing that Datin expects 'perfect' English. I wished we have gotten a better lecturer! But at least I passed this compulsory module so no worries now! Need to sharpen my English further.

As for Japanese, I was scared that I'll get a B+. Seriously. I made little mistakes in the tests, screwed up a lil' for my oral interview (i.e sensei 'helped' me a bit which I don't like!) and studied very last minute for the exams (as I was busy with debates before the exams)! Next sem, I wanna try make sure I ace Japanese again :D

Major modules are doing like so-so. I kinda expected a B for Chris' and actually a C for Alex's since I didn't put in a LOT of effort. At least with the only group study with Pranika, En Ru and Julius, I managed to understand a little better of Alex's module (which I'm always seemed to be lost) and get a better grade. Coz last sem I didn't sought for help and I knew this sem I needed help. I don't wanna be taught by Alex again! Dx

Overall, I'm grateful for my results because my CGPA is now at least 3.5! I still need next sem's GPA to decide if I'm given the opportunity to study abroad or not. I need to work harder.

#1665 - Finder's Keeper's

Since I'm at the hostel now, I decided to go to Time's Square for my light dinner. I was waiting for Lof's 'Buy 1 Free 1' promo to start at 8 coz that's what my light dinner is: bread.

I arrived earlier and decided to go to Guardian and window-shopped around. Who knew that when I left Guardian, I felt my foot stepped on something and that something is:

TFS Lovely me:ex Design My Eyebrow in 02 Dark Brown

I couldn't believe it! Well, I wanted to take it initially but decided to just stand at a corner, scanning for anyone who may have a Face Shop paper bag. Because I think that the paper bag has a tiny hole and the pencil may just slipped out. After 2 minutes or so, I decided to take it. xD

Lucky? Maybe. I think this is 1 of the most 'pricey' item I found so far. I tried it and I love it! xDD

Speaking of it, yesterday I wanted to go buy nasi katok for dinner. I got lost initially and saw prince Malik's car drove past at the opposite lane of the high way. Then after I bought my nasi katok, I saw Sultan's car! He was driving a land rover (or maybe a Hummer, not sure) but a big car la! So lucky to see 2 royalties in an afternoon. lol

#1664 - 12.12.2012

Lately I spent almost 24 hours a day at home that I wanna go out and lepak. Doesn't matter if it's just the nearby kopitiam and chitchat or what, I just don't wanna stay indoors. Plus, when I noticed my dry hands few days ago, I realised that it must have been the AC too.

I wanted to spend this day with friends but realised, most of my circle of friends are not in radar. Well, there are some but they're busy with their own matters too so I haven't much choice either.

Anyways, I ended up buying Double Chocolate and Chocolate Fudge Cake from Coffee Bean to sort of 'celebrate' today. I love chocolate and I wanted to have the best chocolate deserts for today despite being broke already. It'll be another 100 years til the same '12.12.12' and I doubt I'll live that long!

Those two were super sweet and I love it! Haha. Ignore my guilty pleasure, these 2 are just perfect combo for those who wants to smile again after feeling a bit down. lol.

Oh yeah! My favourite rock band '12012' (that's the band's name btw) had a SOLD OUT tour today! Omedetto! Every year at December 12, they will have a concert. I supposed it also coincides with the band name. I wanna go to their con 1 day!!! -forever weeping-

Another few more hours before tomorrow comes. I know I'm happy but I wish it could've been better. heh.

#1663 - Life so far

It's 11:52PM as I'm beginning to blog.

Yes, my body clock shifts during the holidays. "Night is still young", my mind says.

So I always ended up sleeping at around 2 to 4AM. =_=

Not good!

But oh well..

So far, I did some productive things too so  I guess it's all right.

I finished watching 'Starry Sky' anime in one go. Since an episode is only 11 minutes & there's 26 episodes, it was about 4 hours long? haha.

I don't think I'll ever catch up with all those overdue and recent anime or dramas. I need to force myself to watch them!

#1662 - Hello December!

I think this holidays will fly by very quickly. I'm going to have 2 volunteering sessions, plus some research so I guess enjoy this month while I can, huh? If only I can wake up early but sleeping late. You know, utilizing my 'day' time.

Aside from this, I managed to clean my room. Well, it's more like reorganise my stuffs and throw some stuffs. I know I can't buy new stuffs coz there's barely space but hey, how can I say no? lol.

Oh ya, one of the CDJ items aren't available, the Cecil keychain :( Oh well.. Waiting for Temptation Box to arrive for my bro's belated bday gift. I forgotten about the 5% import duty =_="

#1661 - It's the holidays!

'Tis the season to be jolly~ haha.

Anyways, holidays started two days ago and I felt tired. I guess it's lack of sleep. haha. But I know I will be sleeping soundly tonight :D

Today, I went and watched 'The Rise of the Guardians'. Jack Frost is love :D

#1660 - From CDJ!

Since winning the debate, I used up more than half of the cash prize. I mean, how can I say no to CDs?

Well, I pre-ordered:

1 - SCANDAL Temptation Box LE with Photobook - 4286 Yen

This one is a belated birthday gift to my bro. I even phoned him to ask if he's OK with this gift. Haha, I know, no surprises. Seeing that his SCANDAL's albums are all with photobook editions, I think this will be perfect for his collection.

2 - UtaPuri Cecil Ajima phone strap - 762 Yen

His colour in UtaPuri is green so I bought it! Haha. Well, I need few more hundred yen to make my order reach 5000 yen (for 600 bonus points!) and this one seemed perfect for the order so yeah. xD Plus, I wanna have at least one item from UtaPuri.

3 - Utada Hikaru Sakura Nagashi - 1048 Yen

I'm a BIG fan of Hikki and this single release comes as a surprise! She's on hiatus still which is why suddenly she's releasing a single made me go "OMG must buy coz it's Hikki! 1st press lagi!" This release includes "B-2 size poster with illustration of Utada Hikaru newly drawn by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto". So basically, DVD single + poster la. B2 size is HUGE!

4 - U - BEST of BEST - [2CD+Photo Booklet/Limited Edition Type-B] - 4286 Yen

I wanted to have at least one Matsushita Yuya's album and I had a hard time thinking if I should go for LE A or LE B. Decided to pick LE B due to photobook. Well, LE A is DVD and I think I can go download it. haha.

3 & 4 costs more than 5k Yen too but I did separate order. Reason being, the bonus point.

If it's 5k to 9999 yen = 600yen

but

10k to 14,999 yen = 1000yen.

So 2 5k yen orders = 1200 yen bonus points xD
(enough to buy a regular edition CD for free! hehe)

But yeah, blowing away that much money... Oh well, I'm supporting the artists and I'm happy for doing so :D

Can't wait for these goodies to arrive. Prolly in January but it's OK, I'm willing to wait xD

#1659 - Almost done!

Tomorrow shall be my last paper and I'm still procrastinating. lol.

Well, me, Julius and Andrew had a group study session 2 days ago and I sorta understand quite a lot

(which is why I haven't started my revision despite having all the time in the afternoon.)

Ahem. My sister said she was 'forced' to buy $130+ worth of cosmetics during Black Friday. Poor girl.

And it's MICABella, UK brand mineral cosmetics. I hope it's original though since the place wasn't a proper stall but like those vendors in Mall.

But I think it should be original la.

#1658 - My Beauty Blog

Check out my beauty blog at http://lavender-is-love.blogspot.com/

hehe. I started blogging it today so I hope I'll consistently blog it.

#1657 - Almost there!

I'll try to remember things from my previous post! Here goes!

The night of our debate victory was awesome~ The after-party (more like makan makan lah) was outside the Senate Room. The kebabs were so nice! And I tapau'ed the pulut panggang (which reminds me, it's in the fridge!) since there were SO many leftovers. We went back to hostel at 15 mins past 12.

Ironically, I can't sleep til 3:30am-ish. Maybe it was the 'debate' fever coz I had to wake up by 9 to get ready to claim our prizes  at 10-ish at JP. Off we go to JP with Kam's car. Too bad Mayyer can't go with us. So it's me, Seng Yee and Kam in a car. We wore formal clothing coz we don't know what to wear. And it was odd when JP was filled with people wearing sports attire. haha.

We claimed our prizes i.e Baiduri Bank Cash Card worth $375 :D I planned out what to spend liao. lol! But yeah, after that, we went to Kaizen for our lunch. I think this is my first lunch with all debaters + coach Nabilah. But yep, it was fulfilling. Thanks Kam for this treat!!

Fast forward to Monday. LE exams at night. I wished I plan my time properly! Ugh. I finished the paper but not sure about the grades.

Then, Japanese and Media 1 exams the next day. It was OK-OK la. Upcoming is exams is on Monday!

Sunday, November 18, 2012

#1656 - We did it!

All the late night training practise was worth it :)

And I can't help but to see the 3 as inspirational debaters. I should learn from them too!

Thanks Julius, Seng Yee, Kam and of course, Mayyer!

P.S All the pictures taking made my jaw hurt from smiling too much. LOL

#1655 - Revision Week!

I think this sem is busier than the last's. I didn't really 'feel' the Revision Week, I guess because I still have to go to campus for tests and busy with debate.

Theoritically speaking, RW should be the time where most will be at home or room studying.

But realistically speaking, not everyone can do that.

Japanese listening test OK. Hoping I won't score lower than 8 (out of 10). And I know I'm not ready for my interview this coming Thursday...

It's windy and sunny outside now and I had observed a dozen of bees flying about.. Scary!

I wished my exams is like, 5 days after Saturday, the final debate. I know I'm not exactly debating but still...

Oh yeah, Joyce said my face looked different since she hadn't met me for quite some time. (Really? It was yesterday at canteen la! haha) She recommended me not to change my face wash routine. haha.

#1654 - Saturday

I woke up late today for the debate competition (co-hosted with baiduri Bank) but (as usual) event started late anyways. It was a unanimous win for my school but I wish I contribute much. Well, even as the floor speaker, I fumbled a bit too much. And Mayyer, Ayla said I looked angry. -_- oops. I don't meant to give that kind of impression but I guess I need to tweak that a bit.

And here I am, trying to finish up 3 more entries of my last assignment...

#1653 - Busy

I don't think I've been this busy.

I have two important things going on and they're equally matched: debate and exams.

Well, I hate to say this but I wished I didn't say yes to debate (despite for the sake of experience and cert, not so much for the prizes) coz I didn't think the 'new' style of debating would be that in-depth. Like I have to think at some other ways than my usual 'straight line' thinking. And I envy those who nailed the point when I was still there, searching for it i.e I am slow to catch up.

But I guess I'll try to focus on my exams too.

#1652 - Shopping with Mom

I woke up at 8:30-ish coz I'm going back to bandar. This time, for shopping.

Ironic. I wish they told me earlier so that I don't have to go back to KB. haha. But it's all right. I'll get to taste some home-made food.

My bro didn't wanna go coz he has test tomorrow (& something about failing the test will not get promoted next sem) so 3 of us (mom, me, sister) had brunch at Emperor's Court dim sum buffet. Free flow of dim sum although the ones that my mom and sister wanted (har kaw) has to be ala carte. But yeah, satisfying brunch indeed!

Did a lil shopping before heading back to KB. tiring. I slept from Tutong til KB coz I only had an average 5 to 6 hours of sleep for 5 days!

#1651 - Woes for a hoarder

Erin wanted to see my makeup collection so I decided to take out everything that I have..

I was almost speechless myself when I see THIS much of things ranging from cleansers to eyeshadows. I never realised that I have this much. Well, I supposed everything is at different corners that I thought it's little.

And on top of that, I have quite a number of unused products. If I can recall them, there's 3 unused cleansers, 1 for mask, 2 for toners and 10 pieces+ of face masks, 1 foundation powder, 1 hand cream, 2 cases of eyeshadow, 1 moisturiser and 3 pairs of unused fake eyelashes.

Wow. That's a lot... =_="

And yesterday (the girl's day out I meant) Nadiah talked about skincare and how I should actually invest time for my face. My defence is that I rather do something else. But now that I think about it, no matter how tired I am, I have to have a proper skincare regime i.e not skipping masking twice a week!

I'm tired. To think that I came back yesterday and going back later. I didn't have 24 hours of home time~

#1650 - Girl's day out!

Kaoru-chan and Nana-chan and I went to Excapade after our Japanese class. But, since the shops will only open after 2 (as in accordance to the new law), so we went to Nadiah's place for a while before heading to Excapade.

We spent quite some time for a late lunch, ending it with macha ice cream. But it was always interesting to listen to Nadiah's story while she was in Japan. So lucky! haha.

After that, we went to Mall since TFS is having member sales. Well, I didn't buy anything there but bought this brightening mask. Actually, there were 3 variations: Yellow's brightening, pink is for dry skin and green is for oily skin. I got the yellow one, Kaoru got the pink one and Nana's the green. I have to say though, I bought this on impulse. =_="

Then! Went to Winmark and I saw this tea tree oil cleanser! Of course, I immediately bought it since it's only $3.50 xD Also on impulse.

Guardian was the last stop where Nana recommend bio essence cleanser as it removes makeup and cleanse face. (And I think Nana's favourite brand is bio essence now since she trust that brand so much!) Well, I didn't wanna buy it at first and I couldn't resist it when it's 30% off! Them both bought their's in the store while mine's outside the store where they're having some anniversary sale. It's the same stock so yeah. I thought it'll be like "okay.. God doesn't want me to buy it" but after knowing it was outside the store "Fine. I guess it's fate that I should have it." Damn. A $9.90 cleanser become $6.89 or something. omg... Oh well, all 3 of us bought the cleanser xD

And this was the first time where the 3 of us spent time together, doing shopping for facials. hehe. ほんとにたのしかったです!

#1649 - Hello November!

I welcome November with busy-ness!

November means it's the assignment deadlines and exams! omg. I'm only left with 2 assignments. One is Japanese composition which is easy~ xD But the other assignment consist of many different journals i.e Chris' blog!

MIB test next week. Don't know what to study, honestly!

Then there's a last minute debate competition. I was at first reluctant to join but since Mayyer and Seng Yee are in, I guess I don't mind. haha. Well, I'm joining it for the cert and experience too, despite the dates are nearing exams! How I wish the competition is sooner.

I went shopping on my own earlier too. Haha. Stuffs I bought:

CLEO Singapore and Malaysia, essence cucumber wet tissue and anti-spot gel AND a pair of Bata wedges at 30% off xD The shoes are a size smaller but it just fits in my giant leg so I'm happy! hehe.

#1648 - くそ

As I am typing this, it is raining heavily. And here I am at the canteen waiting for my food.

It is unhealthy to eat a heavy meal at this hour but I can't help it.

The last boot camp (Chris night tutorial) was miserable. Well, I only got 6 out of 10 individually and it could've been better if I did consider myself. Topic was about photojournalism and its ethics. Kept on confusing moral ethics and photojournalism ethics.

And not only that, I have new competitors. I supposed it is natural to feel this way. And I just felt so.... idk, slightly demotivated.

But I need to persevere. Exams coming up in LESS than one month's time!!!! :'(

#1647 - Wasted

My 3 or 4 days of holidays somewhat wasted.

I ended up doing things that are non-uni related except for outlining my LE presentation plan and reading up Japanese.

Plan to do at least 1 blog entry for assignment failed.

Haiz!! I hate myself!

#1646 - Kiulap journey

So, today I felt a lil' adventurous and went to Kiulap after 3:30

I parked near Hua Ho coz I wanted to buy spaghetti sauce in packet but they didn't sell it? So I walked around Kiulap like a tourist.

I had boba tea too. $2.50 for a pearl milk tea is a lil' pricey. But I just bought it anyways since it's been AGES I had one.]

Finally bought the sauce from Makro Jaya. Also entered Chong Hock Toynation. LOVE that store! ONE PIECE ship model is there! So as this cute dinner toy set from Japan!

Unfortunately no Double Down sighted.

And I'm staying back for the weekend to at least try do my assignments.. Time is running out!!

#1645 - Diarhoea

I don't know how it happened but it just did.

Maybe it's something that I ate yesterday.

Initially I tried this Chinese medicine that always helped me with my stomach upset but failed. So I ended up going to the hospital.

I think I'm OK now... I think. My tummy still weird.

#1644 - I'm back for the week

I can't believe I didn't post for almost a week.

Lots of things happened. Too bad I didn't have the time (or maybe not bothered) to record down what had passed.

I know I haven't touch on some of the assignments. And of course, their due dates are nearer.

AND I FRIGGIN' FORGOTTEN TO BRING BACK THE iPad CHARGER! Not gonna touch that device for two days. To think that there's 69% of battery left.

I need to stop spending too. There's this KK trip coming up in December and I wanna go! -le sigh-

#1643 - Morning

Woke up an hour ago but decided to wake up only now.

Munching on these two mini packs as breakfast.

#1642 - Busy

I swear the weeks passes by much much faster after the sem break, with even MORE work. Can't wait for the sem to be over!

I owe my lovely lecturer Chris (as I always call him nowadays. HAHA) like 5 blog entries?

And there's another assignment for the other media module which I am still blur-blur.

Gaaah. Maybe you DO need to sacrifice entertainment for the sake of studies. Well, for now that is.

#1641 - Tony Moly Haul

Since TM is having members' sales, I decided to pick up few items.

There's this eye liner remover, 2 mask sheet (for the sake of their tint! lol) and the green headband on impulse.

#1640 - Tanjoubi omedetto, Mura-kun

I hope to see you in action for next KuroBasu season 2!!

I was in purple for you too xD

I was spoiled. xD

How I miss mom's cooking!

So happy!

#1635 - October

Here I am having my LE papers in front of my laptop but failed to do so coz I was distracted by 9GAG. I realised that I haven't been on 9GAG for so long.

I can't wait for this sem to be over with.

#1634 - Earlier

I bought these two items (Oxy Icy Cool Wash & Garnier's Zinc Self Heating Mask) coz I am curious of the 'coolness' claim of that cleanser plus, my cleanser's almost running out here.

And since I didn't bring my ash volcano face mask thingy, I bought that zinc mask instead. Hoping to clean my pores (*^^*)

Since today is a hot weather and I was exposed to the sun (I forgot my umbrella) I was tempted to buy whitening cleanser instead but this 'instinct' is telling me that they're useless. But I wanna be fair! Well, at least by one shade lighter. -sigh-

#1633 - Yesterday and Today

Just a quickie.

Yesterday (28.09)

TBS Member Sale! Went to Mall. I only aim for 2 items: Sakura perfume and Tea Tree Oil. Only got the perfume but fucking no tea tree oil. Tried at Times Square and Giant. Also no hope. Hoping they are having it tomorrow.

Then today, went to look for the item at Times Square only. No luck i.e no more stock. Since this item is so damn popular, then I assume the branches I went yesterday won't have stock too.

Seriously TBS, what the fuck that u have no stock when u  are having member sale?? U practically lost an extra $30+ from me.

Now that I think about it, I wonder if they really are waiting for their 'shipment' to arrive. Oh well. Better luck next time.

But I'm still PISSED about this!!

#1632 - Today

I swear I can't reverse my sleeping cycle yet.

I woke up late and rushed through the rain for my class. I love how the wind was blowing my face. It was cold!

Skipped my tutorial like a boss. Went to Baiduri to get some of my stuffs done. Met Chin Ting there. It;s been a long while since I last saw her.

Walked around Kiarong coz I never been to this area. I saw Icklebooks, Kaizen. A restaurant named 'Cengkih' seemed nice. Maybe I wanna try to eat at that place. And some other cafes too.

Then went to Manggis coz I wanna see if Best Eastern there is selling CLEO Singapore edition. Tough luck. I mean, August edition isn't coming anywhere. And Huo Ho is apparently selling hangbags at 'buy 1 free 1' basis. I didn't bother to ask if I could mix with other bags or not.

It was 4:30-ish when I left Manggis and yes, traffic jam. No biggie. Just take it slow and steady and reached Mall, hoping to find the Sept issue.

AND YES THEY HAVE IT AND IT IS THE LAST COPY!

Oh yea, I forgot to mention. Apparently Mubarak Emporium (I think I got the bookstore name right) does sell CLEO Malaysia and it's cheaper! $4.30 only!! Maybe I should just go there and buy the CLEO mag instead.

Anyways, I friggin' got a copy of CLEO S'pore edition! Can't wait to read it later to de-stress.

#1631 - Random Thought

I only realised today that I have classes everyday, including Friday.

I don't have a life! heh. Mayyer joked about how I am "the female version of Chris" since Chris admittedly in class that he doesn't have a life.

But I don't wanna be like him!! HAHA.

#1630 - Time is always jealous with me

I shall blog about what happened yesterday.

Thankfully there's no LE class coz I know I will be bombarded for not doing anything of the assignments yet. They're just too many at a go! All the handouts and one 700 word essay. Not worried about the essay since I have content but prolly a bit for the references. The handouts are like a pain in the arse, really. And why is this a compulsory mod again~?

I skipped debate today for the sake of my night tutorial. From what Mayyer told me, I sure missed out a lot of fun. -le sigh- Hoping I could enter next week but... I'll be like, exhausted!

Coz next Weds schedule goes:

8 - 11: Class

11 - 2: Break

2 - 4: Debate

4 - 6: Japanese replacement class

6 - 8: Night media tutorial

I don't recall being this busy for one day! Hmmm.. Maybe I should skip Japanese? Ugh..

And the night tutorial went badly. I somewhat believe that the easier the topic it seemed, the harder the questions will be. I only got 2 out of 10 i.e I flunked this test badly. I don't know what to think anymore.

I had my 2nd dinner at 8 since my 1st was at 4pm. I told the waitress that I want butter chicken but I don't know how on earth they served me butter milk chicken. I was, for a moment, not being appreciative but then I said to myself: "oh well, it's free food so nevermind."

#1629 - Today

How I wish I have more time to blog about my life.

Anyways, today was Hafizah's birthday. She treated us pizzas from Pizza Hut. And I forgot it's double Tuesday thingy going on too.

The MIB lecture was interesting coz most of the stuffs doesn't exactly touch on 'MIB' but somewhat geography-ish. So I think I should be able to do my best as pembentang, I hope.

Media lecture on visual narratives seemed easy to comprehend but I really, really hope I could nail through the MCQ.

24.09.2012 (Monday)

Yesterday was the start of the 2nd half of the semester til end of Nov i.e exam season. After having Japanese class, went to PH at the airport mall.

Then went to Tony Moly. They're offering free membership cards for ANY purchase! What else to do? Buy something la~ haha.

I bought this snail eye mask for $7.90 (was on discount, O.P $9.90) and in exchange, I received another free mask, and some samples of snail skin care. I was given the options between that, tint, wet tissue and BB Cream. Wished I took the tint instead coz I never seem to use the samples.

Now I can't wait for my lifetime Tony Moly membership card~

70% discount next month for members! Uaaa...

#1628 - For Elaine

My goodies =3
Months ago, I didn't expect my SG friend to actually willingly buying some of my fandom-related items on credit. I kept on telling her that I will pay but it ended up as a late payment and she doesn't seemed to mind. God bless her soul.

Thank you Elaine! I really, really hope that I will get to see you soon!! I mean, now we are fangirling the same Team K now. HAHA. Oh, the letter was a shocked! I don't quite understand the Japanese but I think you wrote something along the lines "I did this Aamin letter myself"? hehe.

#1627 - Busy

Ever since I went home last Friday, I remain internet-less til today. Currently I am at the hostel using the wifi. Well, I'm here coz I got class tomorrow. Sad life.

I know I got a lot of things to blog, but hopefully I can do it this week or next.

#1626 - Pizza Hut

I'm typing this at 1AM. Surprisingly I am getting a bit sleepy.

So, today was somewhat free since I have night class. But! Since I slept at 2:30AM, I purposedly didn't set any alarm so that I can sleep as much as I want.

But who knew that 6 hours later at 8:30AM, the grass cutters (is that what you call them? Workers who uses machine to cut the grass) were at around the block and the

noise woke me up! Grrr.. But I guess at the same time I wanted to use the toilet. Thankfully I can go back to sleep for another 2 hours.

Had lunch at 11am. Then at around 3-ish went to datin's office. I think I don't wanna miss class again and won't ask her anything. Even asking for clarification is like

pain in the ass. heh.

Then went to Chris' office to have my permission letter signed. Went to library for an hour and had light dinner at 5:30. Class at 6.

Katakana test was okay. I think can score full marks. xD

After class, me, Kaoru-chan and Erin went to Pizza Hut Times Square. Is it me or everytime we went to PH with Kaoru-chan, there's always a birthday celebration going

on. Haha. I ordered this 'Chicken Tender' for $6.90 since we were sharing pizza and free unlimited salad! Wow. I love this. haha.

#1625 - Why

I slept quite early yesterday. Well, early as in 12:30AM coz I usually slept later than that time.

Woke up at around 9-ish? I guess it's because I didn't closed the curtain properly, letting bright sunlight penetrating my room and my eyes. I did have a good night's sleep.

Since I decided to cook today, I defrost my sausages, crabstick and chicken. While waiting for the food to defrost, I did my laundry. Thankfully the weather was being a little kind despite there was rain for 5 minutes only.

I used Maggi's spaghetti sauce, the one in packet coz all I need to add was chicken and water. I think I put a bit too much water so the paste isn't sticky (does it make sense?)  and it's somewhat bland. I guess I don't mind coz I don't like salty food. The spaghetti on the other hand, I cooked a bit too much for one person. I had this at 12-ish.

And surprisingly, I was already hungry at 4:30. Needless to say, I went and cooked spaghetti again for my early dinner. After lunch, I decided to clean my room. Then my sister from the states called me. We talked for about 40 minutes. I missed her. :'(

After dinner, here I am, procrastinating my way for assignments... I don't know why I don't feel like doing it. I wonder if PMS is also part of me feeling very lazy.

#1624 - Today!

A cloudy morning greeted me when I woke up. And after that, heavy rain.

Media class from 10 til 12. 'Psychology and Genre Analysis'. Seemed interesting but hoping I could memorise some of the stuffs soon.

MIB discussion for an hour after that. I wasn't contributing much I guess.

Tutorial: was all right. I like Dr Sharifah since she makes things clearer for me and everyone I presumed.

Oh yes, Elaine DM-ed me at Twitter saying that my stuffs had been sent! Prolly take 2 weeks to arrive since it is a heavy package. I sure hope the package will arrive at the PO safely!! So excited to have them. tbh, I forgot how many mags are there but I know there's a lot. xDD

I went to the library to claim a book that I had reserved. Then somehow went to read one journal titled 'Policy and Politics'. Somewhat mundane coz I don't get some of the ideas published.

And after dinner, I went to this website that sells book presumably cheaper than Amazon. Well, I supposed some books are cheaper. And I actually want to buy at least 1 book. Problem is, it is US-based so maybe I might as well just buy it from the local bookstore.

#1623 - Weekly Update

To be honest, I have vague memories of what happened last Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

If I remembered correctly, I sacrificed my Friday for my assignment. I supposed it is worth it coz I can't believe an academic blog entry took me 4 hours. Well, there's time wasters but at least I had that done.

Saturday (1st Sep)

Went back home after tutorial, lunch and nap. Hmm.. I brought back a big load of laundry coz I didn't bother (or maybe not enough time) to do laundry here. Plus, doing laundry here is such a pain in the ass, especially since there is no automatic washing machine! Yes, it is still manual washing machine. I wish the estate provide all blocks with auto ones loh.. I mean, the manual one so damn old liao, got algae somemore And some of the spinners condemn la.

Sunday (2nd Sep)

I know I spent 3 hours on TV. And I guess that's how much of TV I actually spent on an entire week. Well, no TV here so yeah. Not that I bother so much.

Monday (03.09)

A Malaysian friend of mine, WXL came! I haven't seen her for 9 years since 2004 and since she's in Miri for a short trip, she decided to stop by here as well. I brought her to Mall and Times Square since we left only in the afternoon. Thankfully she had an overnight's stay here so I could bring her up to the capital. Otherwise it would've been just around KB/Seria which is somewhat -boring-. No actually, there's nothing much to offer here. heh. But yeah, as the result, I skipped my Japanese class.

Tuesday (04.09)

Skipped the 2 hour MIB lecture coz I can. haha. I assumed I have class at 4 so I left quite late, around 2.40-ish. Halfway up to the highway, Chris called in and said class was cancelled. I had this feeling that he would cancelled class but I don't know why I somehow forgotten about it.

Weds (05.09)

Skipping Datin's LE class for DPMM. haha. DPMM officiates the Pesta Convo and I wanted to see him. I mean, how many times of my life will I be able to see the future king right in front of my eyes? xD Hoping I would get my permission letter soon!

#1622 - Signs of stress?

I think I am somewhat experiencing stress coz I tend to eat a lot -_- If I only I can be anorexic during my times of stress but no, more food!

Well, assignments are piling up as I speak. And because of this, I didn't get to go to 3 open houses invited by my friends :( Well, I did thought of going but when I think about the workload, somehow I think twice. Plus, going to their open houses would also mean I have to travel twice back to capital. But that really isn't the reason that I don't wanna go to the invitations! -le sigh-

#1621 - Another week gone...

Maybe I should consider a weekly update instead? heh.

25.08 - Saturday

No MIB tutorial since our lecturer was kind enough to let it go for that week i.e Raya week. But it's going to be 2 presentations at a go for this coming Sat!

27.08 - Monday

Japanese night class and there's nothing unusual. I like night classes since I am a night owl but then the location for the class is so damn dark. Makes me wonder if there are really these ghosts.

28.08 - Tuesday

MIB in the morning. (As always), taking pictures and didn't really bother listening to the lecture. I half listened and for most of the time, it's out of topic! But the lecturer was funny though.

Then Chris' media class. I think it was okay. Well, I hope it will be okay throughout the whole sem.

29.08 - Wednesday

Datin's LE class. omg, I actually forgotten to do one exr but luckily she didn't check. But my goodness, so many homework from her! How I wish I was the 9 to 12 class. heh

30.08 - Thursday (Today!)

Alex media class was okay. Talking about malay wedding cards as a genre.

In the afternoon was Chris' tutorial. I think this is the best tutorial class yet. We were split into 2 groups and were asked 3 questions. We need to answer the question in our blog for the 1st question (ugh). 2nd question worth 300 words for penalty. The 3rd question worth 200 words penalty should be answer it wrongly. haha. But since we got it all right, the reward is 100 words less for blog entry. How nice~

#1620 - This Week

Almost another week since my last entry! Well, due to the fact that I don't have any more 'free' wifi at my house makes blogging (and research) all the more not easy.

So~ Raya started on Monday here (whereas the rest of the world for most part started on Sunday) but it doesn't bother me much since I don't visit to a lot of houses.

But what I'm worried now is the assignments. They seemed to be piling on their own day by day.

O.o

I -thought- I would be focusing on my studies for this Raya holiday but I guess in the end, I need to help out with the preparations of cakes, etc.

#1619 - A week!

A week had passed by since my last entry. If I can remember what had happened so far...

Saturday (11.08)

Last Saturday for MIB tutorial, we were assigned 'positions' for every week for our class. Basically every week there's assignments, even if you do not have a 'position' because you need to contribute to the presentation. I got to present on week 6, report on week 2 (raya week, ugh), secretary on week 9 and chairperson on week 8. I guess the 'difficult' positions were the first 2 and the other 2 was all right, I hope.

Tuesday (14.08)

I entered Chris's semiotic class for the 2nd time. Well, I don't have to enter but I guess I choosed to? haha. I already knew semiotics since last 2 sems ago during my unibrige times. Then I skipped this lesson last sem coz we were given an option. But for this sem, I attended the lecture. It was from that lecture that I now all the more salute Coco Chanel for redefining femininity.

Weds (15.08)

First LE class at 8AM. I had to be in class before 8AM not because it starts at 8, but rather due to the limited parking spot. Went to pick up Joyceline and luckily there was a parking spot. We waited and it was passed 8. And I thought "Well, they said Datin is punctual about time but it's already passed 8? So maybe we won't have her." Suddenly, a lecturer entered and somehow, from her aura, I knew she was Datin! Me and Joyceline just looked at each other. haha.

This was my first time having a lecturer really lock the doors once she starts her lecture. A bit scary tbh. Seeing from her guidelines, I think LE should be smooth sailing. I mean, I know everything that will be taught for the semester so it should be all right if I work harder. Hoping to get A for this module.

2nd debate meeting had 4 members turned up. Like what Dr Kat said, it is a "trial". I just hope the number won't dwindle down anymore coz it's just nice to train them already. I debated as 2nd speaker and surprisingly, I reached 5 minutes. I forgot the vibe of debating and I still think I'm an average debate but I guess more practice might help.

Oh ya, at night I met up with Ivan coz I wanna listen to his stories of London and Paris. Paris seemed a better place to visit, even Nadiah agrees with that. Went to Q-lap mall hoping to watch Bourne Legacy but they don't have the movie. And I ate at Fleur-de-lys (I think that's how the name is spelled) for the first time! I knew they sell ice cream outside but I never knew there's a restaurant in it. haha. I don't think I wanna go back there anytime soon coz the food are so pricey and the portion is so little, not worth the price.

Thursday (16.08)

After media class by Alex, we had MIB meeting among the team mates. I'm glad that everyone helped out this time round. Then rushed to Chris's tutorial. Since there's only 3 of us, we went to his office and asked questions instead. Well, I asked the other 2 students to go ask first coz I wanted to formulate my questions. Coz on the way to his office, I told Chris that I am still confused over signifiers and signified and he gave me this "WTF" look. haha! But at least I got that cleared up now.

After another media tutorial, since there is still time, I 'barged' into the other Chris' tutorial group. I think he was asking a question to the whole class and when I entered, he repeated the question:

"Is signified the connotation?"

"Yeah, of course."

"Justify yourself."

And I had a slight problem in justifying the answer. I was stuck halfway then Chris was saying "you better give a good answer here because everyone is saying no and you're the only one saying yes. or you'll get an extra 100 words plus 1 more reference."

"100 words and reference? No problem."

"Well, not for you but the others will have problem!"

"OH!!! OK ok.. Let me see..."

But when I did my justification, I ended up with "Am I halfly right?" heh. Well, in the end, everyone got the punishment but since he hadn't post it up yet.. I hope not! haha.

Stayed a night at Nadiah's place to help her with her MIB speech. Had ayam penyet at a restaurant owned by her uncle. The food was nice. Then she told me something which I was a little sad to hear but I think it had changed my viewpoint of something in life.

Friday (17.08)

And now I'm here blogging this up! The room felt so cold since it had rained a bit.

#1618 - August Haul

So! The August haul 2012 is perhaps my first grand haul. Well, I -think- I purposedly did so to break my makeup spree record.

This time round I have products from TBS, TFS, HH, essence and MISSHA. Well, I almost added SKIN79 into this but nah, waiting for their 50% BB Cream thingy xD

But yes, as from the picture, that is a LOT of stuffs and I honestly have no idea why I even buy some of them. Well, discounts were EVERYWHERE and it was just so tempting :'(

I mean, look:

TFS - 20% for 2 items, 30% for 3 items and above
HH - 25% for non-members, additional 5% for members
MISSHA - 20% and 50% (for selected items)
essence - my own 15% discount card xD

TBS doesn't has discounts but the reason why I have 2 items from TBS was because of the free gifts (eye makeup remover and tea tree toner).

But yeah, those discounts were so damn tempting!

From all the items above, I had so far used that essence natural cover moisturiser. Fits well for my skin so I like it very much. And that tea tree pore minimiser which I don't see any difference at all. Or maybe I need patience. haha. But the product is so damn expensive again - $26.90! Ugh.

Oh yeah. I finally purchased that charcoal egg soap from HH. Claims to remove blackhead and tighten pores? Hmmm.. I wonder.. Well, it's $13+ after discount from $18.90 so yeah xD

MISSHA items were the best steal from this haul. Both items I purchased were 50% (Green tea mask which I picked the wrong one again and Aloe Vera Gel Mask or smth like that lah the name) Not sure when I'll be using the gel mask coz apparently I still have the volcanic self-heating mask from TFS that I had yet used.

I saw TFS new product, which was the New Zealand volanic nose strip thingy (I'm lazy to google for name now) so I just bought it on impulse. I was deciding to get 1 or 2 more items but I settled for just one, which is the false lashes. So total was 20% off in a single receipt.

I wonder when will I ever review the products again. haha.

#1617 - Week 2, Sem 2

I can't believe I already have assignments due soon (i.e Week 7).

And I hope I can do well.

First debate club was smooth today. Well, I didn't do a lot of talking since the seniors spoke a lot. Becoming Treasuer is fun since I got cash. lol

Today too was interaction with Kagawa students but I only talked with Nakayama-san who is from Soka daigaku. He seemed pretty sociable.

#1616 - I'm doomed.

Yesterday was the timetable meeting for Japanese 2. Saw some familiar faces but the number of students taking this course dropped to half from level 1.

I was hoping I could have one class on the original time slot (Thurs 4 to 6) BUT because of ONE person who has her core module lecture on that time, we have to cancel it. This time it is only one group so of course, most of the suggested time slot were occupied. Ended up having night classes instead. Hmm I wonder how will it be.

After the meeting, went to Mall with Joyceline. It was a last minute thing and initially we wanted to eat at Swensen but it was full for sungkai. Ended up having mini dinner at Bakerlyn.

Then shopped around the cosmetics store. My god. All these stores are having discounts. I told myself not to spend on those stuffs anymore but nope, I did and I felt guilty. Maybe this is guilty pleasure? Sigh.

Oh yeah, my exams mods were out and yep, I got both of the compulsory breadths listed. I felt bad for Nadiah who didn't get into LE :'( I mean, it was supposed to be the 3 of us taking LE and Japanese 2.

I also got elected as Treasurer and PRO for my debate club. Suddenly I felt like it was a heavy task. I mean, I haven't actually sense the teamwork within the AJK yet but I'm honestly hoping that by next semester, things will get better with some of the new members being elected so that my workload is split to half or more. I don't wanna do everything by myself, you know.

#1615 - Hello new semester

So the night before I officially moved back to my old hostel room, we had a sungkai buffet at Fun Wok, Kiulap. Overall the food were great.

Then halfway through the ride, I realized that I forgotten to bring my bag pack which were full of my reading materials and stationeries AND more importantly, my laptop. I was supposedly watching (or maybe finishing) 2 animes for the past 2 days. haha.

And for the days without laptop and books, I felt so "lifeless". Perhaps it was the lack of presence of the books that made me feel so.

First day of semester was somewhat a bit worrying due to the calculations of the MCs. But I think I got that sorted out.

Yesterday was the 2nd day of semester. And I didn't think MIB first lecture was boring. But, I never expect Chris to teach us media again. Of course, so many laughter and jokes incorporated to his lecture.

And today, had club meeting. I wished we have more AJKs. And effective student council body.

#1614 - Toy Story 3 Ending

I just watched this video and I cried terribly.
I told myself not to cry but by the time Andy showed his Buzz Lightyear toy, I broke down.
It just happened. Haha. :'(
I guess some things are better off not changed. I wish TS3 ending isn't this.
Edit: I just saw my July 15 2010 post (It has been that long??) and I mentioned that I will cry the 2nd time if I watched the movie. Truthfully even after 2 years I still did, even if it is just the ending.

#1613 - Mayday! School is starting soon!!

As much as I refuse to believe it, the new term is starting soon.

That also means there are so many things to do this week and enjoying my last week of holidays. heh.

I've been sleeping at 3am and woke up at noon. Felt like I had wasted my morning. Oh wells.

Grrr.. Can I like just enjoy 1 more week of holidays?

#1612 - Batman + Reunion

Yesterday I didn't know which movie to kill time til 7 to pick up my sister and I saw this:

And since it's July 19, I totally forgotten it's the premier of Batman so I thought I should just go watch it. Well, it was unexpected so I got the furthest right seat. Needless to say, my neck stiffed a bit coz I always book my seat as center as possible to prevent neck cramps.

Anyways, I love this movie. I never watched the 1st and 2nd movie of the Batman trilogy so not so sure about the whole storyline. It's okay. I like Christian Bale's Batman voice more than Bruce Wayne's. haha! Seriously, Batman's voice is just so intimidating! Anne Hathaway played The Cat and she's so good in acting as well!

Overall, a 4.5 over 5 for my ratings.

Then today, we had a reunion with some of the ex Sc 2 mates. Since it was last minute, not everyone could make it. There's me, 2 BFFs, Malek, Khai, Amal and her bf and Waie. I guess not many changes from the guys. Everyone is the same. haha. We were at WYWY for 3 hours and time flew very fast. I mean, all I did most of the time was just listening to stories and didn't realised the time.  It was great to know everyone is well.

#1611 - Tretinoin Cream

I guess I am intrigued with the dermatologist's words about how tretinoin cream can remove acne scars.

And I did a bit of research about the nature of this cream. The medicine I was given was Stieva-A which is a 0.025% concentration of tretinoin cream.

From News-Medical:

"Stieva-A Cream helps to:
  1. Make your skin less oily
  2. Loosen blackheads and whiteheads so that they come out more easily
  3. Stop new blackheads, whiteheads and spots from forming
  4. Lowers the number of red, inflamed acne spots."
And I can't wait to actually see the effects of the claims! I mean, if it's from a pharmacy, it should be better than the ones being heavily commercialized, right? Well, there's no telling about it until I used it for at least 2 months. I wonder if tretinoin is better than benzoyl peroxide, another ingredient for combating acne..

#1610 - TFS Haul + Idols

Following from the previous post, I finally got myself a TFS haul with the last 20% voucher. So what did I buy with that?

4 pieces of face mask and a lash curler! Reason being, I'm broke. Plus, I'm waiting for member sale which is 25% off all items and  I think it's worth buying during that time coz you'll get extra 5% off instead of just 20%. Yes, every discounted percent counts! :P

Speaking of masks, I bought 2 apple 2 cucumber masks from my KK trip last month and had yet used them. Oh yea, I still have 2 more at Joyceline's. xD

Got these 2 BB cream samples as well. I'm not sure if it will suit me or not. Hmm..

Then, I stumbled upon this DVD! It's AKB48 and SKE48 joint performance at Macau way back in 2010. It's only $14 so I thought, "Why not?" Oh the temptation.

And the best purchase today is Utada Hikaru's 13th single 'Dareka no negai ga kanau koro'. It's only $5!! I didn't think I would see Hikki's single here!

But lmao at 'Chinese' when it is a Japanese original CD.

#1609 - Super Woman

I am half-dead as I am typing this (literally).

Yesterday, hangout with BFFs, Xing Rong + her bf and Li Shi. It was supposedly at the padang but then no place to sit and eat (unlike previous years) so we ended up having dinner at Procter. I was somewhat reluctant but I guess it was okay. Then lepak somemore at Coffee Bean til 11pm+.

And just as I was about to doze off, I suddenly remembered I have a dermy appointment in 5 hours time from the hour I slept (Slept at 2AM).

Managed to wake up and went for the appointment. The dermatologist said the tretinoin cream can remove my acne scars! And I have to urge to have my million dollar smile showed up right after that. Haha. I never used that cream despite being subscribed to it but I think I shall use it religiously. So yes, I am that desperate to remove acne scars coz they are fucking ugly on the face.

After that went to BSB for some official business before I lazed around the 3 Malls area at Berakas. Got myself a TFS haul, AKB48 DVD, Hikki's single for $5!!

I have no pics now, but I guess I'll upload them later or whenever I felt like larh.

#1608 - 2 more weeks

In exact 2 weeks time, I'll be starting a new semester for uni.

I can't believe it though coz I felt like I wasted my 2 months break with Internet instead of watching J-dramas or trying to complete that paper mache. Ugh.

But going to KK didn't felt wasted at all, since I learn new things and gained experiences.

Still! I need to kick start my 'study mood' soon. I mean, I need to increase my GPA and study smart.

#1607 - Clothing or Makeup or Skincare?

The moment I bought that cheap $3 plus black eyeliner pencil from 'Follow Me', I guess it's safe to say that my life turned to a new point: (Artificial) Beauty.

I wasn't a makeup junkie til this year, I think. The past had been me experimenting this stuff, that stuff. Suffice to say, it's the wrong products. Then somehow I don't know how I managed to equip myself with makeup knowledge (Oh wait, it's been those CLEO magazines I bought). But even there were times I wanted to use makeup, I think twice about whether or not I should really apply these foreign, chemical things into my face for a glam moment.

Prove is, I actually packed the essential makeup stuffs I needed for my face to KK last trip. I thought I would use at least ONE item (BB cream, eye shadow, eyeliner, etc) but in the end I dumped them altogether and go through everyday with a bare, natural face. So yes, wasted that amount of space for my luggage. I even thought of dolled up myself for the grand dinner during the last day but in the end, I only cleanse my face. Somehow, what kinda drives my esteem down is looking at a high schooler ACTUALLY using makeup on her face. I was like "wtf?" Suddenly I thought my face my fugly without something to hide those scars and blemishes.

Even if I spent such an amount of time artificially beautifying my face, I don't like the fact that my forehead sweats the most and fast. Whilst applying compact powder that promises matte finish, it still won't do. I don't know if I should try a high-end brand to ensure the powder 'stays' and don't melt but then I thought "why should I spend so much on beauty if that means speeding up my face age?" And that's just not one concern.

I have yet found the perfect colour to blend my skintone. Like, I really don't know which colour blends me well. I felt like my yellowish skin tone colour is hard to find coz so far, I've seen orange finish, or light brown finish or even worst, pale white finish. The thing is, putting the wrong colour looks so odd that I need to find a top that covers my décolleté (the body part between neck and chest) coz when taking a picture, you can tell the shiny, radiant beauty skin tone is the one that has been put on makeup (not oily shine) while the other plain, dull looking is the original skin tone. Of course, anyone apply makeup on the skin will realised that their face is more 'prettier' than the neck or arms or décolleté. Which of course, sucks. I mean, who the heck wants to see that? I know I don't. Of course, the easy solution is to find something that can cover every parts of the body except your 'pretty' face. Easier said then done to be honest.

Back to the point about blending, I'm not sure if I have faith in cosmetics now since I think I should be focusing on skincare regime i.e removing scar, blemishes, etc Coz honestly, investing on these is WAY much better than artificial beauty. But can I say that I somewhat gave up hope on that as well?

I don't know what really works on my face right now. I do want a blemish-free skin but hey, hormones to be blamed for this fugly face. I tried this cleansing foam that claims to give you acne-free face but guess what, acne still exists in my life! Like what?? If I finished using that, I swear I won't buy it again. Acne destroys my life, 'nuff said. Nothing is worst than having these ugly spots on your face during pre or post PMS. If I'm given 3 wishes, 1 of it is definitely no more ACNE. I just wish my gene is the ones with pretty face. Like, seriously. Without much skincare regime (and makeup and photoshop) your face still looks like those being edited from the magazine, except that I want pores.

One of the worries I think every girls (not sure about guys) have is clothes. Yes, I never gave a thought about this til I actually study in uni. I mean, I honestly don't mind wearing the same clothes over and over again (knowing about my financial status, plus I don't seemed to see myself being oh-so-fashionable anyways. What's more important is intelligence what.) but I wish I could find pretty tops for my size. Like, the pretty tops are always for slim girls. Still, one piece of clothing is pricey if I want to revamp my wardrobe. I seriously need to buy more clothes for appropriate events. I have yet have a black dress or a white office wear, these 2 things which I consider a must for formal wears. Still, they're all not that important, are they?

All these 3 are related to improving one's self-image. I guess I'll just do whatever I want (why should I care about other people), along with being mindful with the cash and I should be okay. After all, "ones who owe no money at all is the richest person of them all".

#1606 - Cloudy Day

These days has been rainy and cloudy, making me wanna sleep all day.

But! I felt adventurous to actually go for a haul from TFS but failed, due to the unpredictable weather. By the time I felt like going for a haul with my 20% voucher, the weather turned bad.

I managed to buy this particular item after much hesitation: GARNIER's Pure 3 in 1

Click picture to view claims
Now, really. When this product hits the shelves, I wasn't so optimistic.Perhaps Garnier's R&D is so great that they came with this 3-in-1 product. I don't think I've seen something like this before, where you can use one product for the 3 most important skin care regime. I haven't used it yet and most likely not so soon, since I still have cleansing foams to finish it.

I guess this means I should go research which TFS products I should really, really buy since I want this to be the last!

#1605 - Laptop woes + Dramarathon

I abandoned my laptop for 5 days coz I've been busy with the new toy.

And I realised I got a lot of things to watch despite my holidays ending soon. omg.

I only managed to complete watching 1 Japanese drama, no animes.

Yeah, says the person who wanted to finish watching all her animes and dramas during the summer break. Somewhat wasted.

That aside, my laptop is nearing 2 years of age. I'm scared. But I think Acer laptop can tahan gua... Hopefully larh coz I don't have money to buy a new laptop just yet.

What prolly will scare me is both laptop and old nokia phone condemn at the same time =_=

But yeah, I thought of having to reformat my laptop but then again, where am I going to store 44Gb worth of music? I don't mind my 120+GB worth of videos gone (coz I can just ask from people? lol)

Hmmm...

#1604 - Monday night

It was full of awesomeness. I realized that I am not alone about some issues that I worried about. Guess people do share the same dilemma.

But aside from that, I was glad to meet up with YB, Ming Hang, Xing Rong, Li Shi, Denise, my 2 BFFs and unexpectedly Mervin.

#1603 - Hauls from TBS and TFS

I felt so damn rich when I know I'm not but I decided to use 2 of the 3 remaining bday vouchers today.

First off was this 50% off for 1 item from TFS. It's the 'Infinite Powder Foundation' from the Phytogenic line. I think I picked the darkest shade out of the other 3 (there's NB 21 and 23) and NB 25 appears to have the heaviest coverage? I haven't exactly use it on my face just yet. And I only realised that this is a mineral powder (yeay!) after I bought it back home.

Click on the pic to read the claims.

It's casing is of mirror-like which you can see the reflection.

I still have TFS 20% voucher left and not sure what to buy. Coz I told myself to not spend anymore from cosmetics after this. (Dear God please let this be true!)

The other 20% voucher from TBS for all items was spent on 2 bottles of Tea Tree Oil. Heck. It was somewhat hard to pick for which items to be well spent on coz I was thinking of trying those night time moisturisers but then again, I still have that cheap essence moisturiser. Wanted to buy that tea tree skin clearing lotion but it's $26.90? =_= heh.

Last last settle for 2 bottles of tea tree oil coz it works for drying pimples the next day. Not sure about clearing off blemishes. Argh, screw it. Blemishes can only be covered by Photoshop or makeup. 'nuff said.

But!! I bought this waterproof mascara since it's 30% for members. My god, it SURE is waterproof coz when I took a warm shower earlier, it doesn't wanna be removed! And it perfectly stays on the eyelashes until I remove it with baby oil (not so effective) and water-based makeup remover (works better).

I guess I'll do reviews soon, that is if I bothered to. haha.

#1602 - KK Trip

I only told the 4 girlfriends who were with me on my birthday that I will be going off to KK 2 days later. I still can't believe I didn't tell my BFF Sie Ying about this! Gosh I felt so bad now. m(-_-)m

Anyways, thanks to Jordine for booking the tickets a day later coz we somehow saved $20. heh. Our flight on the 27th was on 6:40PM and I wished there was a morning flight so we have some times in the morning or afternoon to shop or something. Surprisingly, the journey to KK only took us 20+ minutes, not even more than half an hour! I was like "WTF?" coz that's just SO DAMN short compared to my first not-so-horrible trip via bus for 8 hours!

Upon arrival at KKIA, I was looking around for some guy holding a piece of paper with 'UBD' on it or something. But luckily, I got hold of the guy who's in charge of transport, Yatchi, and asked Julius to call him with his Malaysian number. Thank god for at least someone having a Malaysian line, really saved a lot of $. By the time we got onto the bus, it was 7:30-ish. The bus picked up some other participants from the other terminal before we made our way to the host university, UMS.

Mother of God, UMS was so effing huge! Well, I passed by that uni last year when we went to 1B but never actually entered into their campus. I wish I studied at a large uni campus like that. haha. We arrived at one of the engineering faculty for the debate briefing. To my surprised, everyone in the meeting room were students, except for 1 or 2 who's in-charged of the high schoolers. Now, high schoolers in a debate competition even! O.o Even the adjudicators are all students, like me! I swear that's just not the first of the many surprises I encountered.I was even told that it's no surprise if high school debate team can beat uni teams.

By the time the briefing finished, it was 11-ish and we had an early start tomorrow. We settled to our apartment and went to McD for the wifi. Thank god for the 24 hours McD just nearby the place we stayed. I tried the chicken McFolder thingy which wasn't sold here. Well, I could get it if I drive 30 minutes to the nearest McD but it's just not that 'near'. We all had supper then went to this 24 hour convenience store. I bought my very first item, a RM1.50 1.5 litre water which was ripped off coz at the other store, it was sold for RM 1. heh.

I'm pretty sure we stayed up til 2-ish talking before waking up less than 5 hours later for the first round of competition, titled 'Round Zero'. It's just a warm-up session before getting onto the real thing. I was glad there's such thing called 'Round Zero' coz after that round, I was utterly culture-shocked with the way they debate. It's just SO different from the way we do here. I'm not sure if it has something to do with the format (i.e we do AP, this competition is Australs) You know when you have to note down everything and analyse it within a set amount of time? The hell they can do so with noting down the points VERY NEATLY and managed to analysed it picture-perfectly. Mine was all over the papers.

I think I got the hang of adjudicating their way per se after Round Zero and the official Round One. But I think the team got it big time. There were 2 more rounds after round one before it was called Day 1 of the competition. While waiting for adjudicating, I get to meet several other student adjs like me and made friends, something that I honestly didn't think of doing so at the first place. Yeah, making new friends. Not that I am anti-social, just that I'm not so willing to step out of my comfort zone just yet.

So! Day 1 ended and we went straight for sea food dinner with other participants. The night market was so lively. I got to ate the largest prawn ever at RM 25 each. I asked for masak panggang but they put in some sort of paste but it wasn't that bad. The prawns were priced at RM 100 for 1 kg so it was just perfect that 4 prawns were 1 kilo. I ordered this seafood kuey tiaw and well, I still think my mom's cooking is better. Along side with the dinner was this crab. The last time I ate crab was like 10 years ago? So I have no idea how to eat crab, so I simply used my ancestral instincts i.e stone age way of eating it. lol Sounds so ridiculous.

We eventually walked all the way to Warisan Square in search of wifi. So the 4 of us decided to be at Starbucks at 10. We got split to 2 groups and I walked with Julius around the area. WS was so weird imo coz the 'mall' seemed to disconnected. I entered SaSa, a cosmetics store since they're having Sales. I blew off RM50 for the gel eyeliner that I've been wanting to buy: Heavy Rotation. Coz Nadiah tried the gel eyeliner on me and I somewhat experienced the effectiveness and I concluded, this is my HG eyeliner. Thank god the store sold this!

We stopped by Times Bookstores and of course, I bought CLEO for RM 7.70. Still cheap compared to here selling at $5. Cheap, but content-wise, I still prefer Singapore version one loh. Too bad Ray July edition isn't in yet, or I would have bought it. Oh! The premiere issue of ViVi was in stock too and I happily bought it as well. lol. I browsed around the bookstore and I found one classical book that I wanted: 'Far From the Madding Crow' by Thomas Hardy. I love Hardy's work and is determined to buy them all, despite being lazy to read them.

Eventually the 4 of us met at Times bookstore but since I'm so bored at the bookstore, I searched around for Sabah Coffee. Thankfully, this dried meat store sold them and I bought all in all, 7 packets. I wish I could buy the dried meat but most of them are pork. We went to Starbucks and I tried out this new green tea blended drink. I don't think I fancy it much coz they put in the grass jelly into the drink? What a weird combo but okay lah, I don't get to drink Starbucks at here what. Internet wasn't that good at Starbucks that Skyping with Daniel, our lecturer, couldn't pulled through. I think we stayed for 1 hour plus before decided to go to McD for a better connection. IM him more instead. Then I guess it was few more hours of chit-chat til the wee hours before the next day.

Day 2 of competition witnessed more debate rounds, and it was also the day of the Semi-Finals. It was only 1 round before the long lunch break. Since it was Friday and there was a break for those who performed the Friday prayers, the rest of us walked to 1B. It was that far, more like less than 1 KM walk I think? If only The Mall is located next to UBD or something. Yeah right. Well, thankfully it was sunny but as we walked it a large group, it didn't felt that far.

Do I miss 1B? Certainly! I mean, there were just SO many shops to shop and window-shop but I think I will miss Vivo at Singapore more. Anyways, thinking that I won't be coming here again, I think I blew off quite a few RMs here and there. I went to SaSa (again) but the services were so slow that I had to cancelled off 2 of the items :'( So sad. Also bought a top for RM30. I think the price not bad lah. I mean, 1B has so many clothing stores! My sister should really come here instead of asking me to buy clothes for her. lol

Back to UMS for the semi-finals. Thankfully I wasn't adjudicator anymore so I could go watch 2 debate rounds. One was the 'Silent Round' before tea break and the 4 teams that managed to entered the semis were announced after the tea break. During the semis, I was SO sleepy that I let Becky in charged of recording, whereas I was at the other end, layin' my head on the wall and slept through for 15 minutes. By the time I woke up, the debate was over? I couldn't tahan anymore coz I was already dozing off halfway of the debate so I decided to just sleep at 1 corner.

After the announcement of the teams who proceeded to the Finals at the meeting room, there was a discussion about the Socials the next day. It was the trip to the islands. I don't mind the islands coz isn't that what made KK famous? Perhaps I am out of the zone that I didn't realised there were invitations by some unis for dinner. It's an opportunity to get to know them more which at this point, I wasn't that resistant anymore (to talk).

And well, the dinner was still Pasar Malam food. We went back to the same stall the night before and the employees recognised us. I was like "Boss! Ada discount?" "Ada!" haha. Not sure how much was discounted but for an average RM18 for a delicous dinner, I do need to go back there again! We ordered this big plate of butter prawn and I was like SO HAPPY that Aishah (Sarawakian) can see the big smile on my face. The thing about me and prawns is that I fucking love prawns that I'm proud to say that I ate away 1 kilo (or more) of prawns back in 2007 at Singapore to avoid wastage. And I think I swept away half the plate of butter prawn as well that night coz everyone was enjoying playing mind games and I was there, munching on prawns. Oh yea, 9 of us were playing mind games and no, SO not my cup of tea. I just couldn't get the logic at all. =( Still sad over it tbh. I only can understand 1 mind game out of 4. Blergh.

The next morning was the islands. Before heading to Jesselton Point, some of us went to McD to tapau breakfast. I had tea which I regretted. We went to Manukan islands this time. The last time I went was Sapi and I prefer Sapi over Manukan tbh. Coz there ain't no big rocks by the beach at Sapi. I guess I was too engrossed with nature that I didn't realised I scratched off my left leg. The scar right now is so fucking ugly. I hope could get medicines (or just anything) to clear it off. Like, it's so fucking ugly lah. Anytime I see this scar, I felt slightly down. heh.

But the islands were full of people. I mean, you don't call that tourist destination if there's no one. I didn't get to see a lot of fishes and zero corals this time round but I think I drank enough salt water. Pfft. But I guess I got something else as well: tanned legs. Seeing the skin colour of my legs changed was amazing I supposed? I don't normally get tanned legs, well, more like I never had the opportunity to evenly tan my legs. Hmmm I think I will need some time to realised it wasn't that 'white' anymore. xD Oh, I survived the islands with a sausage muffin burger with hashbrowns. Hmmm perhaps the fats were burned in the middle of snorkelling.

We had lunch at UpperStar at Suria Sabah since it was very near to walk to SS. OMG UEMURA SHU WAS THERE!! (1 of the famous cosmetics brands like Shiseido) But I didn't get to enter the store. Kik dao. Upperstar food were cheap, without tax. The meal I had was RM7.95 and it was quite satisfying. Screw the 16% tax overall, I'm SO going to this place again.

Went back to the apartment and rested. I think I slept? lol Don't remember liao but I do know we left to UMS for the Grand Finals and grand dinner at 5:30-ish. It was the last night at KK and I'm glad I made full use of it ;) So! Congratz to UTMARA for being champions coz I think I bonded with Elli, their student adjudicator most. So glad they won and we even took a pic with the champions. hehe. Oh, they got my cert IC wrong so I hope I'll receive it sooner. =_=

I like how we spent the last night at KK and I don't think I regret it. I mean, being sheltered in this country is just SO not life lah. But, the best night so far after turning 21. hehe.

In a nutshell, this competition and trip made me learn a lot of new things in debates and life. How could I forget the average 3 to 4 hours of sleep (and no sleep for the last night) for amazing things? I met new friends as well and I hope to visit their states or unis soon!

#1601 - I'm back to blogging!

Hello world! I've been out of the blogging world for a week plus now and I guess I'm back to this virtual writing.

So what had really happened aside from being a lazy ass some other times? I went to KK just recently and maybe I'm still suffering from tiredness despite it being 4 days after I returned.

Or is it just my health getting deteriorated?

It's possible too since I don't think I ate healthily lately, like too much sugar and fats. Sigh. Fasting is soon and so I guess I'll make full use of it to loose fats.

After this post, I shall be blogging about my KK trip. Hopefully I will be able to blog about it like soon?

#1600 - 誕生日でーす

I have to do something today. I mean, it is my day afterall xD [Thanks to the greetings on FB~]

SO! I woke up at around 11-ish and since I know I'm going to be bored like the whole afternoon (aside from picking up my siblings from school and work) so I decided to meet my girlfriends last minute. Texted up Joyceline and she came with Yuen and Deborah (whom I haven't met for AGES!) and I picked up Kavitha, my bestie.

I decided to meet them up at CBTL coz I crave for the ULTIMATE. Heck, I even ordered extra large size. And I'm somewhat proud to say that I managed to pull Joyceline for her first Coffee Bean drink (despite not being a coffee drink haha) coz I've been trying to do so during our uni times. Oz Liew, Miko-chan's junior was there and he greeted me as well. Kinda surprised that he did so since I disable my birthdate at FB and he remembered it coz from FB xD

So the 5 of us chit-chat our ways and I loved hearing stories from Singapore (Joyceline and others went there for a trip. boo hoo. xD) and UK (Kavitha's and Deborah's). It was nice hearing their experiences and all.

Joyceline asked us if we are fine to go for movies. I was like "huh? Where?" "Seria lah! Where else?" haha. I sometimes forgotten that Seria already have cinemas to watch.

Then some commotion happened before I ended up at Seria at around 6PM. Joyceline booked Excapade and we had dinner there. I hate to say this but the services were slow and the food quantity is somewhat getting lesser? The Ebi Furai I ordered came late and in the end we had to tapau back coz we were late for our 7:30PM movie. But I'm happy coz I get to eat tamago sushi, twice. haha.

I didn't know what movie we were watching and I think Joyeline picked the best movie - Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. We were like saying "let's hope the vampire doesn't sparkle or glows" (reference to Edwards Cullens) HAHA. And my god. IT WAS AWESOME! Screw the critics who give a low rating for this movie. Lot's of real vampires and killing and I swear, having this in 3D doesn't make it any better. I did closed my eyes for a few scenes coz I just couldn't bear watching it. So I relied on the BGM to tell me if the scene is safe or not. LMAO.

And thanks to this movie, I am SO curious about Lincoln the president himself. I wished I read up on Lincoln before watching this movie so that I could relate it to the movie i.e American Civil War, his politics career, etc. But even if I didn't, the movie makes it clear and obvious.

I didn't think I would met up with Roza and Rahim! It's been a while! I talked with Roza and I like how she somewhat got lost on New Years Day at 3 in the morning. It is scary but I supposed it's something you experienced outside your country. Funny and not funny at the same time. haha.

Sent Kavitha back home and had my late dinner while flipping the TV channel. TV3 was showing a movie titled 'Black Mask' (Cantonese-dubbed) starring my favourite actor, Jet Li. I know I still love him XD And I thought "What better way to end this day with watching my favourite actor on TV?" =3

I'm dead tired now and I have a lot of things to do. Excited for tomorrow!

Picspam~

Tamago sushi

Hana Set. Of course, I took the tamago sushi xD
